Lauren and Brandon had their Gather Estate wedding this past weekend!
These two are the quintessential high school sweethearts! They met when they were just 16. Lauren says at first she ‘friendzoned’ Brandon so they wouldn’t ruin their friendship, but after he started to move on, she said ‘well wait a minute!” and the rest is history!
Originally Brandon had planned to propose on Veteran’s Day when they both finally had the day off together. The day before, however, Lauren’s work called her in and told her she had to come in on Veteran’s Day and everyone was devastated. Lauren’s sister spilled the beans as to why everyone was freaking out! Well a month later Brandon planned a trip to Sedona. She was hoping he would propose, but he told her over and over again he wasn’t. Saturday morning the two went for a hike up Devils Bridge. Lauren says she rolled out of bed and threw her hair in a bun, not thinking she was about to get engaged! They made it to the top and Brandon was acting really strange, so she was suspicious something was coming. He then pulled her off to the side and said some very sweet things. She said she was very, very nervous! He asked, she obviously said yes! Lauren says her favorite part was keeping the announcement off social media, because it allowed them to really enjoy their moment together without being on their phones, checking notifications.
These two are just adorable! Constantly laughing with each other and just having a great time! Their wedding day was no different. The day flowed really easy and I just loved that these two really made their portraits and spending time with each other a priority!
The day was a long time in the making and really a ‘all hands on deck’ day for their family and friends! They pulled it off beautifully! Lauren’s bridesmaid, Amanda, was such an amazing bridesmaid, always making sure that everything was being taken care of and that Lauren didn’t have to worry about a thing! I really love to see family and friends come together like this, it reminds me of our own wedding day!
The day and especially night was a bit chilly for it being almost March, but this bunch didn’t let that stop them from having a great time!
Lauren and Brandon, I can’t thank you enough for having Dustin and I as a part of your special day! You almost made me tear up multiple times throughout the day from your special gift, to your always sweet and encouraging words! Thank you for making my job so, so worth it! <3 I know you have a few weeks, but have the BEST time in Paris and I can’t wait to follow along!
