Rachel and Rick got married at Superstition Manor in Mesa, Arizona this past weekend!
These two met while working at a winery many moons ago in Chicago, where they and all their families are from. They were just friends at first but started dating a few months later. It might have taken them seven years, but they finally got hitched!
Rick proposed while they were back home in Illinois for Christmas one year. They were meeting up with old friends in Chicago for an ugly Christmas sweater bar crawl. They went up to the city a few hours early to get dinner at one of their favorite places near their old apartment. Then, Rick took them to the Lincoln Park Zoo, one of Rachel’s favorite places. Rick proposed during the Zoo Lights event and had someone take their picture while he asked. Rachel had no idea it was coming!
These two had Dustin and I constantly laughing the whole day! I love their witty and slightly dry sense of humor.
I always ask my couples, ‘What are you most looking forward to about marriage?’ and their answer had to be one of my favorites.. ‘We’re looking forward to people to stop asking us when we’re going to get married’! If that isn’t true for every couple in a long term relationship haha!
It was also so sweet to see Rachel full of so many happy tears! They exchanged letter before their first look and Rachel totally lost it! It was taking everything in me not to cry too! Then it was the running joke that from that point whenever anyone even talked about crying or being emotional Rachel would start to tear up again! Happy tears are the best tears!
Rachel and Rick – Thank you for being two of the nicest, funniest, and caring couples! Don’t be strangers and have a BLAST in Europe!!
They were also about to bring their super sweet pup, Murphy and get a few photos in with him!
