Emily and Brock got married at their beautiful church and then had their reception at the Kerr Cultural Center. They had the perfect romantic, fall colors of maroon and blush with lots of pops of greenery!
They met in the most 21st century way – online dating! Emily was giving up online dating for Lent and sent Brock a message saying something along the lines of “I’m giving this a break, but you seemed cool, so text me if you want.”
For their first date they went to dinner at Grimaldi’s in Old Town then walked around the waterfront, enjoying acoustic music and a drink at the Herb Box. They knew pretty quickly they had found the one!
Brock set up one of the craziest and most romantic proposal stories I have ever heard. The morning they were leaving for New Zealand, so about 5am in the morning, Brock had arranged for a musician to play and sing their song, “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. He had enlisted the help of Emily’s roommate to arrange for lights and rose petals leading to the tree in the front yard. As she says, “We danced, he asked, I said yes!”
Their wedding day was full of lots of laughter and fun, just like the two of them! Emily has one of the most contagious laughs I’ve ever heard, I don’t know how Brock doesn’t just laugh all day long!
Emily and Brock – you two are amazing and I hope you have an amazing time in Hawaii!!
This is the same pearl necklace that Emily’s mom wore on her wedding day and she had it re-engraved with Emily’s initials and wedding date on it. How cool is that?!
