Stephanie and Lucas got married at Venue at the Grove in Phoenix, Arizona!
They have one of the sweetest meeting stories ever, and I think it is totally a estimated to the type of people they are. Stephanie’s mom, Ellen, was one of the founders of a bereavement camp for adults and children suffering with loss. Stephanie used to volunteer all the time but hadn’t in recent years because her schedule became so busy but this one summer she at the last minute decided to volunteer and guess who else was a volunteer? Stephanie’s dad said it best, “What 20 something year old spends their summers volunteering? Well Lucas does, and it shows a lot of his character.”
Still today, both Stephanie and Lucas are just as kind and giving as ever. Stephanie is on the board for the JNF, Jewish National Fund, and Lucas is always looking for ways in his every day life to make a difference such as making two lunches for work every day – one for him, and one to give to a homeless person on his way to work.
These two couldn’t be more in love! They just can’t keep their hands or eyes off each other, all day they just snuggled and really soaked it all up!
I was slightly worried that because Stephanie is such a project planner and was so involved in the timeline that she would get too wrapped up in it on the day of, but she did exactly what every bride needs to do on their day – when I got there she said I’m not even going to look at the time anymore today, I will just let you all tell me when and where to be hah! And because of it, I think they were both able to enjoy the day a bit more!
Stephanie really knocked the décor and details out of the park! She and I are totally soul sisters because if I could get married all over again, I would want this wedding! So much color and unique details. Lucas’ nickname for Stephanie has always been ‘Wildflower’ and so they really used that in day of details from their actual florals to the amazing escort cards which were attached to vials of wildflowers seeds (that Stephanie hand poured and tied, by the way)! Stephanie also joked that this was ‘My Big Fat Jewish Wedding’, and in a way it was! It was SO amazing seeing all of the beautiful traditions.
Stephanie and Lucas – I am beyond grateful that we came into each others lives! You two are just the most amazing people and your wedding was one of my dreams! Totally ideal couple 🙂 I hope you enjoy your honeymoon in Mexico but I really can’t wait to follow along on your journey around the world and can’t wait for you to come back to Arizona!!
Stephanie works for Nike so you know she had to get some cool, custom shoes!
THE sweetest dad first look! Her dad lost it and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
Their parents wrapping them in Stephanie’s grandfather’s prayer shawl, tears all around!
Stomping of the glass!
No Jewish wedding is complete without the Hora!
