What’s better than a regular engagement session? An engagement session with a Golden Retriever! Everyone, meet Nora! The sweetest pup, with the sweetest parents ever, Tyler and Heath. Oh ya, by the way who are getting married!
Tyler and Heath are both from Iowa, they met in the summer of 2010. Tyler had just graduated high school, and Heath was a sophomore in college. Tyler spent most middle and high school best friends with his little sister, Gretchen, and she spent LOTS of time at their house. However, she had never really hung out with Heath until that summer, but then they became fast friends.
Their story is actually in some ways similar to mine and Dustin’s in that when I asked about their first date there never really was one because it is a relationship that formed on friendship first! They hung out with groups of friends a lot that first summer, baseball games, camping, barn parties, and the such.
Fast forward to now, they both moved out to Arizona and Tyler’s mom was coming in for a long weekend from Iowa, and they had plans to take some pictures in Fountain Hills. When they got down to the fountain, Heath was acting super stressed and Tyler could totally tell something was up. Her mom was snapping pictures when he turned to her and got on one knee! He even had his sister, Gretchen, and his parents hiding/watching from a distance. They all went to dinner after and celebrated with wine! My favorite way to celebrate!
Fast forward to now, they are both living in Arizona with their adorable Nora and planning their big day!
We decided to do their engagement photos where we could get some of that greenery that reflects back to their home state and where we could of course bring the pup for some shots too! Heath’s mom was so generous to help out with Nora and take her home so we could finish up their session without the added stress 🙂
I am SO excited for their wedding next fall at the gorgeous Paseo!
